Merelita obtained her Bachelor of Laws Degree and Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice from the University of Fiji. She was admitted to the bar in the High Court of Fiji as a Legal Practitioner in March 2022.

 

Prior to joining Haniff Tuitoga, Merelita completed her internship with Ministry of Lands and Minerals Resources under their Lands Division dealing with conveyancing and LOU matters as she had keen interest in the areas of Property Law and later undertook paralegal work with the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions.

 

She was also a volunteer under the Ministry of Civil Service at the Asian Development Bank Conference held in Fiji in 2019.
